Question à propos de Japonais

Hey, guys. I am studying Japanese and I am confused with the use of verb. It is annoying. For example, in terms of ます format, 食べる can be written as 食べます. However, 帰る is written as 帰ります. It is kind of weird because I know the word with the kana containing い and え before る change the format into ます format regularly. So can you guys summarize some words that ending with る but change the format in the same way as the word 帰る does. It is hard to distinguish because they both end with る and have kana containing え before る. I want to memorize those irregular words. Thanks!
