@vemerol thanks! What about attrape for fetch instead. Does that work?
Also for couché is that more for “lay down” or “get down”? I am trying to decide if I just need to use couché or if I need to use descende if I want to tell her to get down. Thank you!
Also if you know any more that’d be great

"attrape" means "catch" and would be used in the same situations
"couché" is "lie down", "descends" would be "get down"
Other common commands :
Debout (stand)
roule (roll)
Au pied (come here)
[R]apporte (to have the dog bring something [back])
Pas bouger (don't move)
Laisse (don't touch [that])

Other useful commands:
- "Non", just to say something is prohibited, or a behaviour is bad. You can also say "stop" to make him stop
- "Cherche" = look for, search
- If you train your dog to fake he is dead (some dogs do that), you would say: "Fais le mort" (litt. "do [as] the dead guy") (but I never trained a dog, I am not sure if people use it as a command)

@clairekartoshka because I was doing about 50% French and I’m just making sure I’m right and so she’ll only respond to me as she’ll be a service animal.
