@spotlessmind0001 1) What medium/methods (signage, written materials, tour guides, etc.) did that location use to try and communicate/share information about the site you were visiting? In order to communicate throughout the visit of the zoological park of Mamelles, that location use to try and communicate/share information about the site I was visiting to inform us and facilitate our visit. First of all there are road signs to get there. Then there is a plan of visit. As soon as we arrive at the reception of the park, they give us a plan of visit. To inform, indicate and communicate so that we are not lost, or simply to be autonomous during our visit, and to have all the necessary information for the smooth running of the visit: there are informative signs, small manuscripts on flowers, plants, animals and even the history of certain species found in the park. There are also of course the names of the different animal and vegetable species, their etymology and other practical information. Everything is indicated and reported to make the whole route and to make the most of the park. All indications, all things to know are present. There is also signage which is very well done with signposted signs with directions to make the right route and see everything that has to do in the park without forgetting anything or missing anything.
2) Was it engaging? Did you find what they did/said or what you read/saw interesting? If yes, why? OR If no, Why? Yes, it was very engaging and very interesting. Already by our simple visits of the zoo, one contributes to the safeguard of the wild fauna. So all these informations on these panels is very useful and relevant. Indeed, all this seems me very interesting because it should be known that generally when I go to a zoo it was mainly to see the animals and sometimes find myself in a green and natural space. But when I went to this zoo and started reading the panels and little manuscripts that accompanied each animal or plant species, it captivated me and aroused curiosity and interest in me. For I could on the one hand see the animals, the flowers and the plants and on the other hand learn about them. In fact, when I started reading some information, I found myself caught in the trick, and I found it so interesting to know for example where this or that animal or flower came from. Sometimes they are flowers that I thought was really local, that is to say that came from the country where the zoo is, but not at all. Knowing the origins of such plants, flowers or animals for example are some of the many information that seems to me really interesting and captivating, after that is my opinion. All these indications really make it possible to better know and to leave grown of the place visited. For my experience, it clearly opened my eyes. See, it is good, but with all this information one comes out bigger and with more knowledge and culture.
Besides, it is true that some panels were too busy, and that I sometimes did not read everything, for the number of species, whether animal or vegetable, is very numerous in this zoo. But I still read at least one end of each panel if that was not all.
3) What would you have done differently? Would there be something you might add or suggest? If you liked everything they did, ask yourself - does it work for all audiences that may visit this location (families, young people, older visitors)? If yes, why? and If no, then what might you recommend? At first glance I would say that the informative panels are too long. Some informative panels could be even more synthetic so as not to frighten the reader because of/ in view of quantity, even if there are people who do not mind reading long texts especially if they are interesting. These panels aren't for kids because generally kids doesn’t care a lot about history. But in this park there was playful part for them.
Then, the site is accessible and practicable for all, even to people with reduced mobility, the indicative signs and others are at suitable height, so the information and indications should suit everyone.
For disabled people (with crutches or wheelchair) it isn't possible to access "La Canopée" but it's only this, that they can't do.
In terms of signage, for kids it would be well to paint foot steps at certain moments along the way . And why not, put things a little more playful like the little riddle that can be found at the beginning of the visit (because indeed at the beginning of the visit there is a little game in the form of riddle with a mirror on the human And its role on the environment in every sense of the term).
To conclude, I will said that this visit is adapted for everyone (families, students and older people).
And to finish if I had to add a suggestion, I would suggest put guides because there wasn't guides.

@Amanda73 your paper seems fine but you might want to change your conclusion. you end saying that you could guides to places where they were not positioned/placed before.
