Well first you should distinguish it from “tho” - that’s more slang, it really just emphasizes what you’re saying.
“Y tho” (like really?!)
“Idk tho” (I really don’t know)
Though at the end of the sentence can be grammatically normal, and in that sentence, it almost sounds like they’re justifying the experience. For example:
“I just got back from a volunteering trip. It was a lot of hard work, I was exhausted every day.”
“Did you have fun though?”
Did you enjoy the trip even though you had to work really hard?

Using that "though" at the end gives the impression that something about what the other person said was impressive or surprising, but at the same time, that "though" gives the impression that they think there is some reason why the other person might not have had fun.

few know this, bit but the word 'though' is in this case , used informally with the Sense of 'but', one exemple, formal: i'm busy today, but we could meet tomorrow... using 'though' become an informal way like: i'm busy today. we could meet tomorrow, thought. it's not a big deal or rule, this is a informal way to talk

“Though” is used kind of like “but”. With your example sentence, it would mean, “(X) happened, but did you still have fun?”
Other examples are “was it hard though?” “Was it easy though?” “Why did he do that though?” “How did that happen though?” Etc etc. It’s typically used when you want to know more about an event.
The template of it would be “A: I went to a party and it was so busy and loud
B: oh really? Was it still fun though?
A: Yea it was!”
It’s extremely informal and colloquial though, you’ll only hear it in casual speech
